Health services research is an important approach that is concerned with analysing the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of healthcare. This covers a wide range of topics, from prevention and early detection of diseases to treatment and aftercare. The Bonn Network for Health Services Research is an association of researchers from various disciplines at the University of Bonn and the University Hospital Bonn as well as at other cooperating institutions with the common goal of advancing health services research and promoting and improving health care both in the region and beyond (nationally and internationally).
An important aspect of the network’s work is the promotion of cooperation between different institutions and organisations. This includes local as well as national and international partners. By working together with different stakeholders, synergies can be created and the quality of healthcare can be improved. The network also regularly organises events to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, including workshops, seminars or conferences that deal with current topics and challenges in healthcare.
